Her Majesty's Royal Guard Force is a paramilitary dedicated to the physical defense of the Princess and her family, safeguarding her residences and working spaces, as well as protecting visiting foreign dignitaries. Originally established along purely civilian lines as Her Majesty's Defense Service, it was reorganized into a paramilitary to better carry out its duties. Her Majesty's Royal Guard Force uses ranks identical to those of the Platinum Band.
