Fortressian Entertainment Rating System
The Fortressian Entertainment Rating System (FERS) is a content rating system developed and maintained by the Content Rating Commission of the Department of Culture consisting of a set of standards which may be applied to creative works produced by Pillowans or for distribution within the Principality. Use of FERS is completely voluntary and suitable for all media, including but not limited to movies, television, video games, albums, comics, and books.

Standards
There are two main components of the FERS: category and content. Category is the general age range a work is suitable for, and is marked with a clear and unambiguous rating indicator. These indicators are considered the minimum necessary to include when using the FERS.
An optional block placed beside the category indicator is reserved for noting the specific contents of a work. These are not necessarily "warnings" in the sense that they have been historically seen as objectionable, but merely reflect what is in a work. There is a list of tags for use in the block, and there is room for up to four tags. Proper use of the FERS requires that the top three tags be from the approved list, while the fourth may be anything so long as it is accurate to the contents of the work, is of the same font and size of the other tags, and does not extend outside the block.
