The Eusocian clergy are the leaders of the Temple of Eusocianity and those tasked with providing spiritual service to the Faithful.

Ranks, Positions, and Titles

The Temple is organized both hierarchically and geographically in order to more effectively carry out its mission, and this is reflected in the clergy.

High Priest

The High Priest is the leader of the Temple, being the presiding member of the Grand Synod of Eusocianity as elected by the same to serve a twelve year term.

Bishop

A bishop is the senior most clergy within an archdiocese, being its leader and reporting to the High Priest. Bishops also automatically have seats on the Grand Synod of Eusocianity.

Auxiliary Bishop

An Auxiliary Bishop is a bishop with a non-geographic area of responsibility, leading efforts such as military chaplaincies, prison ministries, and general media outreach. As a kind of bishop, they also have seats on the Grand Synod of Eusocianity.

Elder

And Elder leads a particular branch of the Temple, such as the Temple History Branch or the Faithful Branch. They are priests or other clergy nominated by the Grand Synod of Eusocianity and appointed by the High Priest.

Priest

A Priest is someone qualified to provide full spiritual services to the Faithful. Typically a local parish will have at least one itinerant priest not based in any temple, while the dioceses' temples will have several.

Acolyte

An Acolyte is someone assigned to apprentice with a priest as part of their ordination training in order for them to obtain real world experience serving the Faithful.

Neophyte

A Neophyte is someone in the early stages of training to become a priest. They have obtained prospective ordination, and are studying at the Eusocian Seminary.

Superior

A Superior is the leader of one of the monkish societies.

Abbot

An Abbot is the monk in charge of a particular monastery.

Hieromonk

A Hieromonk is a monk who is also a priest serving the spiritual needs of other monks living in a monastery.

Monk

A Monk is one who has dedicated their life and labors to the Temple. They live and work apart from society in cloistered, sex segregated monasteries.
