The Aesthetic of the Year is a tradition established at the end of the 5 whereby the Princess chooses an art style to be used by various government organs and institutions in the coming year, wherever it may be appropriate. Pillowans likewise are encouraged to use the aesthetic of the year in their own creative projects as a means of adding vibrancy and variety to Fortressian life.
