Seventeenth of Outwork
The Seventeenth of Outwork is the seventeenth day of the Fortressian calendar's intercalary period Outwork. As Outwork is not divided into weeks like the months are, its days do not share the names Uniday, Duoday, Triday, etc., but are instead named sequentially and serving also as Outwork's dates. In the normal course of Fortressian timekeeping there is to be no seventeenth of Outwork, with the year terminating on either the fifteenth or sixteenth depending on if it is a normal year or leap year, respectively. However, due to an incorrect calendar conversion, the Year 8 would not have started on the anniversary of the founding of the Principality unless an additional day was added to Outwork, thus resulting in the seventeenth. This is, in fact, the function of Outwork, to fix any errors that may otherwise result in the calendar no longer serving its intended purpose.
